ChrisBellinSpotlightweb

Christopher Bellin in the snowChristopher Bellin is the Director of Risk and Compliance at PQS, who reviews operational risks and ensures regulatory data compliance with local, state, federal laws, and rules and regulations.

How long have you worked at PQS and what is your favorite part about working here?

I began my journey at PQS roughly 7 months ago. It has been a blast getting to know the individuals here, the respect that they have for each other, their ability to handle anything that comes their way!

What is the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?

The most interesting thing I think I’ve tried is Hakarl, or Greenland rotten shark. Possibly the most famous dish in Iceland, and if you eat it raw, it’ll make you sick or drunk because the meat is poisonous. They have to bury the meat in the dirt for months to remove the ammonia.

Before working at PQS, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

Years ago, I used to be a Crew Chief on B-52 Bombers. This job was wild and probably the most interesting I’ve had prior. The job was to work assessing & repairing these massive aircraft that were built in the 50’s. It was a career that allowed you to be a part of flight operations that take place all around the world.

Christopher Bellin with friendsWhat’s the greatest bit of advice you’ve ever been given?

“If you let people’s perception of you dictate your behavior, you will never grow as a person, but if you leave yourself open to experience, despite what other’s may think, then you will learn and grow.” – Mr. Feeny

What are you going to do when you retire?

People often look forward to retirement and sometimes push off ideas, activities, or adventures that’ll be of their wildest dreams. I have a lot of adventures that I wish to partake in, sooo I may be working till the day I turn over, hopefully within a career I still love!
